City Hall Conference Room<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call to Order&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 8:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Attending:&nbsp;<\/strong>Mayor Jan Webster, Council Members Mike Barfield, and Lamar Watkins. Council Member Josh Burkhalter, City Attorney Jody Campbell (available by phone-zoom), City Clerk Irma Robles, and Public Works Director Doyle Samples. For public assistance, refer to the attendance sheet. <strong>Not present:<\/strong> Council Member Thomas Gary, Library Manager Rhonda O\u2019Keeffe, and Mainstreet News (emailed notice on 12\/6\/2023 and draft minutes on 12\/8\/2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEW BUSINESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Plumbing proposals for Community Center restrooms.<\/strong> Councilman Mike Barfield made a motion to table this item since the toilets are working, and none of the proposals guarantee the plumbing issue will be fixed. Motion died for lack of a second motion. Councilman Lamar Watkins motioned to approve the quote from D&amp;J Plumbing. Councilman Josh Burkhalter seconded; Council Member Mike Barfield opposed. 2 to 1.
